Battle of the Badges Baseball Game Honors 9/11 Heroes
The annual Battle of the Badges baseball game returns this year with a special tribute to the bravery and sacrifice shown on September 11, 2001. On Thursday, September 12, the Houston Police Department and the Houston Fire Department will face off in a spirited matchup that blends community camaraderie with a cause that matters deeply.
This year’s event, proudly presented by AetherHealth as the title sponsor, will be held at Rice University’s Reckling Park in honor of the lives lost and the heroes who continue to serve. All ticket sales and proceeds will benefit organizations dedicated to supporting the families of fallen police officers and firefighters — ensuring their sacrifices are never forgotten.
“AetherHealth is honored to stand alongside our city’s first responders in commemorating this important date,” said Hamza Amro, CEO of AetherHealth. “The Battle of the Badges is more than just a game — it’s a way to honor the courage, service, and sacrifice of those who protect our communities, and to ensure their families know they are never alone.”
The Battle of the Badges is more than a game. It’s a chance for the community to unite, remember, and show appreciation for those who put their lives on the line every day. Fans can expect an afternoon of friendly competition, heartfelt tributes, and a powerful reminder of the resilience that defines our first responders.
Mark your calendar, gather your friends and family, and join us at Reckling Park for a day of baseball, community spirit, and remembrance. Together, we can honor the past while supporting those who carry the torch forward.
